THE INSIGHT
The Pacific Northwest, from ocean to mountains, deserts to college towns, has produced a creative culture unlike anywhere else, much of it living outside the concert hall entirely. After forty years bringing classical music to every community it could reach, All Classical Radio saw an obligation to widen its definition of the art it served. Its role was never only to broadcast music. It was to champion the region's creative life in all its forms.
THE IDEA
The Artist Anthology documents forty trailblazing creatives across the Pacific Northwest, each a culture bearer in a distinct medium, profiled by prominent regional writers and photographers as collaborators, not subjects. The ambition went beyond documentation. This was built to be an artifact in its own right, a true coffee table book, with the paper stock, typography and pacing to sit on a shelf at MOMA's bookshop alongside the great art books of the world, not marketing collateral but a cultural object people choose to own and return to.
THE IMPACT
The Anthology marks All Classical’s continuing goal to step beyond music into the wider arts and culture network it sits within, positioning the station as a patron and platform for the creative life of an entire region.
